St. Kabir School was started in
1985 under the aegis of Janak Madan Charitable Educational Trust.
 St.
Kabir is an English medium school with classes from Junior K.G. upto Std Xth. The school
has two branches: one in Navrangpura and the other in Drive-In. The Drive-In branch is
upto Class IX presently and Class X will be added in the next academic session. It is
proposed that the Higher Secondary section with classes XI and XII will be started from
the session 2000 - 2100 A.D.
The present student strength is 2490. The total no. of teachers is 105. The school aims to
provide avenues for the all-round development of each student through quality education
and co-curricular activities along with guidelines of conduct and disciplines.
The main objective of education is inculcation of desirable values. In keeping with this
philosophy the school seeks to develop the qualities and values of Integrity, Honesty,
Compassion, Tolerance and Courage.
Adhering to the belief that
responsibility comes before freedom, stress is laid on instilling a sense of discipline in
the students.
The school's Motto is 'SPREAD
THE LIGHT' - the light of knowledge, Wisdom and Compassion to remove the Darkness of
Ignorance and Despair. Living up to the school motto our students grow up to be worthy
members of society and ideal citizens of this.
Admissions
Admission to Junior K.G.:
Normally all admissions are done to this Class. The procedure of selection is by draw of
lots.
Admissions start after 15th of
January and are over by end of February of each year. The news session starts in June.
Admission to other classes: If
there is any vacancy, students are admitted if found fit after an admission test.
Extra-Curricular Activities
The students belong to four
Houses, namely Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald and Topaz. The four precious gems flash their
brilliance and talent in the various Inter House activities organised in the school.

LEARNING WITH FUN (Pre-Primary
Section)
Our Pre-Primary section activities combine the learning of basic skills with a lot of fun
and games. Activities such as spray painting, match - stick work, vegetable printing, etc.
build up the finer motor skills and provide an opportunity for developing creative
expressions.
Experiments with air, evaporation, sand sieving, young seedlings introduce the basic
concepts of science in an informal way.
Sports activities such as Frog
Race, sack race, basket - ball, Board Skating, etc. hone the athletic skills and provide
enjoyment to the Tiny Tots.
Competitions of Recitation,
Story - telling, Drawing develop he spirit of competition and provide the necessary sense
of achievement to the students.
LINKS WITH NEWSPAPERS
The students actively
participate in the literacy competitions quiz, crossword, etc. appearing in the Times of
India - Wee Wonder and the Indian Express - Roller Coaster
The school teams participated in all the inter-school competitions organised by the India
Express.
